About Rio Wolfhart
Rio Wolfhart is a German guitarist, bassist, singer, songwriter, producer, mixing engineer and qualified instrumental teacher. From 2006 to 2011, he studied instrumental pedagogy with classical guitar as his principal instrument, graduating with a diploma.
For more than two decades, Rio has gained extensive experience on stage and in recording studios. As a founding member, guitarist and songwriter of WolveSpirit, he has helped shape and produce numerous albums and releases. The band worked repeatedly with legendary producer and mixing engineer Michael Wagener, known for his work with artists such as Ozzy Osbourne, Metallica, Accept and Alice Cooper.
Rio’s work has also taken him deep into Nashville’s studio scene. At Andrija Tokic’s renowned all-analog studio The Bomb Shelter, WolveSpirit recorded and produced an album using classic tape machines and traditional analog recording techniques. Further album sessions took place at Southern Ground Studios in Nashville with producer and engineer Dave Betchel.
Alongside his work as a performing musician, Rio is active as a songwriter, producer and mixing engineer. He currently plays guitar and writes songs with WolveSpirit and performs as a bassist with Deep Purple tribute band Demon’s Eye.
His lessons combine a solid musical foundation with practical experience from real bands, international recording sessions and live performances. Rather than following a rigid one-size-fits-all method, Rio adapts each lesson to the student’s musical taste, goals and individual way of learning.
